Eating out Green

Published by Nick under Food, Organic, think green

Think Green: Going out to eat, which is a nice treat to stomp down the winter blues, make your trip out a green one

Suggestions: >eat at a restaurant that uses local produce-?CO2;
eat at an organic restaurant-? the use of -cides (pesticides, etc. whatever you argue about the use of >cides they are still poisons, and the less poisons used the better);
>eat vegitarian-?CO2-raising meat produces more CO2.
All green choices-enjoy time out and feel even happier by making a green choice.

Pile Your Snow

Published by Nick under think green

More on Thinking Green-when shoveling snow if you can, pile it around the base of your house to keep the house warmer. Snow makes a great insulator. Decrease heating costs and CO2 production.

See Ice, Think Green

Published by Nick under Uncategorized

Need to get rid of the ice on your front walk, think green and use alternatives to salt that are better for the environment. Every time you go out to rid yourself of ice you will feel good spreading the greener stuff. Even if you can’t buy just the green stuff, buy some and try to use salt sparingly.
